Can I live with friends, or can you match me with roommates?

You can select your roommate(s), or you can apply on your own and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help in the matching process.

What are per-person contracts?

Instead of requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, each person at The Reserve at Greensboro has their own individual contract, with one person per bedroom. This means you are only responsible for paying for yourself — not your roommates. Even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment are empty, you only pay the rate for your bedroom.

What is included in the rate?

Each resident at The Reserve at Greensboro pays a flat rate that includes:

  • Furnishings
  • In-unit laundry
  • High-speed internet
  • Water/sewer
  • Trash disposal
  • Community features – swimming pool, fitness center, etc.

What size are the apartments?

The spacious accommodations at The Reserve are available in 2 and 3 bedroom floorplans, with a private bedroom-bathroom suite for each resident.

Are the apartments furnished?

Yes, each apartment at The Reserve at Greensboro has a furniture package that includes a full-size bed, desk and chair, nightstand and dresser in each bedroom. The living room includes a sofa, chair, coffee table and end table. The kitchen includes a dining table with chairs.

When do the contracts start and end?

The standard term is August 13, 2022 to July 22, 2023, with payments made in 12 equal installments. Limited alternate dates are available; please inquire with our staff. Click here for a sample agreement.

Is a co-signer or financial guaranty required?

After a Housing Agreement is signed, each resident is required to secure their financial obligation in one of three ways: by providing a qualifying guarantor (often a parent); by pre-paying the final two installments; or by purchasing a third-party guaranty from our partner, Leap. In limited cases, we may also waive the requirement for a financial guaranty if a resident has sufficient income of their own.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours per day, by credit card or ACH electronic checking. The Reserve also offers automatic payment by either credit card or checking account — just fill out one page, one time and payments will be made automatically. Convenience fees apply for credit card and debit card payments.

Will my financial aid cover charges at The Reserve?

Your living costs at The Reserve can be covered by financial aid, just like on-campus housing. Any available financial aid funds, after university charges are satisfied, are released to the student for non-institutional expenses, such as off-campus housing. These funds can be used to pay charges at The Reserve. Normal payment deadlines will continue to apply.

Is The Reserve at Greensboro open to non-students?

Nearly all the residents at The Reserve are students at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro or North Carolina A&T State University. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, The Reserve is an Equal Opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Family members are welcome as well, subject to occupancy limits. Because of the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply together with enough roommates to fill the desired residence.

What kind of safety and security are provided?

The Reserve at Greensboro has a monitored fire-sprinkler system, along with electronic locks plus individually locking bedroom doors. Community courtesy patrols are provided at select times. Management staff are also available 24×7 and can be reached by a 24-hour phone number.

What are the policies on pets, smoking and guests?

The Reserve at Greensboro is a pet-friendly community, subject to limits on animals and breeds. The community is smoke-free in all indoor and adjacent spaces. Guests are welcome at all times, subject to the consent of apartment-mates and security considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, with limits on the number of days and guests.

Can I park my vehicle at The Reserve?

The Reserve at Greensboro offers free on-site parking, with optional reserved parking for an additional cost.

What other transportation options will I have?

The Reserve at Greensboro is conveniently located a half mile from UNCG campus, making it easy to walk or bike to classes and school activities. The university shuttle bus also picks up in front of The Reserve clubhouse and drops off at the UNCG Elliott University Center and the NC A&T campus. The shuttle bus service runs Monday through Friday from 7am to 10pm and 1pm to 4pm, during Fall and Spring semesters when class is in session.
